Welcome to Nelsons Outdoor Resort
Central Florida Camping & Fishing on the Oklawaha River
Nelsons Outdoor Resort, formerly known as Nelsons Fish Camp, has been a Central Florida camping and fishing destination since the 1950s. Nelson's Outdoor Resort is set along the banks of the Oklawaha River on State Route 42, near Lake Griffin on the Harris Chain of Lakes, Silver Springs, the Ocala National Forest and much more. Enjoy Central Florida relaxation & recreation, from sunrise to sunset and beyond!
The Oklawaha River and the Harris Chain of Lakes are prized for their fishing opportunities. Get out on your boat or enjoy fishing from our dock for Specks, Perch, Large Mouth Bass and more! Away from the water, there are plenty more outdoor activities for the sportsman to enjoy.
Boaters take note: Nelsons offers a full-service marina with a variety of boat slips to accommodate your boats during your camping stay. Enjoy easy access to the Oklawaha River with our two boat ramps.
Nelsons Outdoor Resort offers direct access to the Sunnyhill Restoration Area
This 3,400 acre wetland restoration area is right across the street. It offers visitors 20 miles of hiking trails, horseback riding, wildlife viewing, bicycling and picnicking.
